WEA is looking for someone who is ready to be a part of, and help build, a high-functioning, fast-paced team. We have built a reputation as the go-to organization for bringing together the private, public, and nonprofit sectors to discuss regional economic development priorities and opportunities.

WEA is a non-profit, member-based organization that advocates for a healthy economic environment on the Westside of the Portland, Oregon metropolitan region. Westside Economic Alliance covers the whole of the Tualatin Valley which includes all of Washington County, west Clackamas County to West Linn and Oregon City and Multnomah County into the western portions of Portland.

Industrial Land Readiness Memo

From February to September of 2025, WEA convened and moderated an Industrial Land Readiness Workgroup with regional land use experts from both the private and public sectors. The goal for this workgroup was to develop recommendations that would be presented to Metro that would seek to improve their methodology for counting employment land. It was clear that those around this table sought to have the employment land count more accurately reflect what the market is seeing. This recommendations memo can be found here.
